Overview

(a) Term of Office. There shall be a Conservation Commission composed of seven regular members and associate advisory members not to exceed ten appointed by the Select Board, each for a term of three years so that the term of office of at least two members expires each year.

(b) Powers and Duties. The Conservation Commission shall exercise its powers pursuant to Chapter 40, Section 8c, G.L. The Conservation Commission is a regulatory board and is responsible for enforcement of the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and its Regulations, and the Hudson Wetlands Protection Bylaw.  In addition the Conservation Commission owns properties which it is responsible for protecting and maintaining.

The Conservation Commission is now using the Diligent Community organization system (like the Hudson Select Board) for all meetings. Site plans and other information are available on Community. Search for "Conservation Commission" in the list of upcoming and past meetings.
