Public Statement from the Hudson Board of Health

Town of Hudson News Posted on July 25, 2025

The Hudson Board of Health deeply regrets to inform the public that our scheduled meeting on Thursday, July 24, 2025 was abruptly canceled due to a disruptive and unacceptable intrusion by unauthorized individuals. These individuals gained access to the virtual meeting platform (Zoom) and shared highly inappropriate and offensive images and chats, which were visible to all attendees.

The messages and images shared do not at all align with the values of the Hudson Board of Health, and we sincerely apologize for any harm that may have come to those in attendance who were subjected to this disturbing incident.

This behavior is not condoned, and while this was out of our control, we took swift action to remove the intruders from the meeting, but ultimately had to end the meeting early. The Town of Hudson is taking this matter very seriously, and our Information Technology Department was immediately notified in order to investigate and work to strengthen security measures to prevent future breaches. We appreciate the public's understanding and patience as we address this issue.

The Hudson Board of Health is committed to maintaining a professional and respectful environment for public discourse, and we will take all necessary steps to ensure the security of future meetings. Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 5:30pm at Hudson Town Hall. In our continued quest to increase accessibility to our meetings, despite the recent incident, there will be a Zoom option with increased security measures.

On behalf of the Hudson Board of Health, the Hudson Health Department, and the Town of Hudson, we sincerely apologize for this disgraceful incident and will do everything in our power to ensure this does not happen again.

Sincerely,
Matt Gallen
Chair, Hudson Board of Health
